A bit of us...
The Läänesaarte Kammerorkester was created in 2016 by the Italian orchestra conductor Edoardo Narbona when he moved for work reasons on the Estonian island of Saaremaa.
The project was developed in such a way to create a work opportunity for the local professional musicians of the island, now part of a cultural activity that gives a solid contribution to the music life of Saaremaa, promoting its image in Estonia and abroad.
The orchestra is made up by professional players who are living permantly on the islands of Saaremaa and Muhu and by invited guests, depending on the needs of each concert program.
The orchestra collaborates regularly with well known Estonians and international soloists during the annual concert season, performing a wide chamber orchestra repertoire,
with many Estonian and world premieres.
The Läänesaarte Kammerorkester is supported since the beginning
by the Saaremaa Municipality.
The Terre del Nord MTÜ is in charge of the Orchestra Project
and its concerts' management, in collaboration with Kuressaare Kultuurivara.
